Four reasons Green Belt should not be in Local Plan

The parish council has written to the South Warwickshire Local Plan team urging them to remove North Leamington green belt sites from the plan. The reasons go to the heart of the soundness of the Plan:

1. Due process has not been followed in evidencing the decision to include what should be a “last resort” site.
2. The extensive technical assessments have not been synthesised, so partial judgements have been made.
3. The land is green belt not grey belt.
4. ‘Sustainability’ is not a valid justification for releasing land from the green belt.
